Your NLV quote request
Takes about two minutes. Fields marked * are needed to quote. If the form does not load, please email us directly at hello@nlvhealthinsurancespain.com.
What happens after you submit
There is no automated hard sell. Once you send your details, an English-speaking specialist reviews them and comes back to you with suitable, NLV-compliant options — cover designed to meet the usual requirements, with the certificate in mind from the start. We will explain the options in plain English, flag anything relevant to your age or health, and answer your questions before you decide anything.
If you are ready to proceed, we help you arrange the policy with the correct start date, and make sure you receive a clear certificate and proof of payment in a form suited to your appointment. If you are not ready, that is completely fine — you will simply have accurate information to work with.
Why we ask for these details
A good quote depends on a few key facts, because they affect both suitability and price:
- Ages / dates of birth. Health insurance is priced by age, and some policies have age-related conditions — so this is the single biggest factor in an accurate quote.
- Number of applicants. Each applicant normally needs their own cover and certificate, whether you are applying alone, as a couple or as a family.
- Nationality and consulate. Requirements can vary slightly by consulate or visa centre, so knowing where you are applying helps us tailor the documentation.
- Intended start date. The policy usually needs to be valid for the required period and to start at the right moment relative to your appointment and move — see our start date guide.
- Appointment date. If it is soon, we can prioritise; if it is a while away, we can plan the timing properly.
Not sure about some of these yet? Send what you have — we can work with estimates and refine as your plans firm up. For the full list of what to include, see what information you need for a quote; for timings, how fast a quote is; and for weighing quotes well, how to compare quotes.
Who can request a quote
Anyone preparing a Spain Non-Lucrative Visa application — at any stage. That includes people who:
- have not started their application yet and want to understand the cost;
- are gathering documents and want the insurance sorted early;
- already have a consulate appointment booked;
- have an urgent appointment coming up;
- need cover for a residence renewal;
- are comparing policies, or want us to check a policy they already bought.
Whichever describes you, tell us in the form and we will tailor our reply.
Quote FAQs
Does a quote cost anything or commit me to buy?
No. A quote is free and there is no obligation to proceed. It simply lets you see suitable, NLV-compliant options and prices for your situation so you can make an informed decision.
Can I request a quote before my documents are ready?
Yes. You can request a quote while you are still preparing the rest of your visa documents. It is best not to leave insurance until the last minute, as policy issue, payment and certificate preparation take time. See when to buy.
What information do you need to quote accurately?
Mainly the ages of the applicants, your nationality and the consulate or visa centre you are using, how many people need cover, your intended policy start date, and your appointment date if you have one. These affect both suitability and price.
Can you check a policy I have already bought?
Yes. If you already hold a policy and are unsure whether it is suitable for the NLV, send us the details and we will give you an honest assessment before your appointment. It is far better to find a problem now than at the consulate.
Can I get cover before I have an NIE or Spanish bank account?
In many cases, yes — often paying by card, before you move to Spain. The details depend on the insurer. Mention your situation in the form and we will let you know what is possible.
