Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 26 July 2026. These terms govern your use of www.nlvhealthinsurancespain.com and any enquiry, quote or policy-placement service we provide through it.
1. Who we are
This website is owned and operated by Stephen Paul Gregory, a registered insurance agent established in Spain, trading as NLV Health Insurance Spain. Registered address: C/ Alcalde Clemente García 19, 5, 30169 San Ginés, Murcia, Spain. DGSFP registration: C0320Y2155969D. Email: hello@nlvhealthinsurancespain.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that business; "you" refers to any person who uses the website or our services.
2. Acceptance
By using the website or requesting a quote, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the website.
3. Our role as insurance intermediary
We operate as an exclusive insurance agent within the meaning of Royal Decree-Law 3/2020 (transposing the EU Insurance Distribution Directive) and Law 20/2015 (LOSSEAR). This means that we distribute the private health-insurance products of Sanitas S.A. de Seguros only; we do not compare products from multiple insurers, and we act on behalf of the insurer rather than as an independent broker. Our registration can be verified with the DGSFP at dgsfp.mineco.gob.es. Full identification details are in our Legal Notice.
4. Information on the website
The website provides general information about private health insurance for Spain's Non-Lucrative Visa. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, but product descriptions, benefits, exclusions and prices are a summary; the binding documents are the policy conditions issued by the insurer at the point of contracting. Requirements can vary slightly by consulate or visa centre, and third-party information (regulations, consulate procedures) may change independently of us.
5. Quotes & price validity
Any quote we provide is indicative and subject to confirmation of the information you supply (including ages, residence and health declarations), acceptance of your application by the insurer, and any waiting periods, exclusions or loadings the insurer may apply on underwriting. Unless stated otherwise in writing, a quote is valid for 30 days; after that, it may be re-quoted at current rates. Prices depend on factors including age, place of residence in Spain, declared health, the plan chosen and the number of people covered, and final underwriting decisions rest with the insurer.
6. Applying for a policy
To apply through us you must be at least 18 (or apply as the legal guardian of a dependant), provide accurate identity, contact and health information, and accept the insurer's underwriting decision, which may include a loading, exclusion or decline. The contract of insurance is entered into between you and the insurer, not between you and us; we facilitate and administer the application but are not a party to the policy.
7. Duty of disclosure
Important: Under Article 10 of Spanish Insurance Contract Law (Ley 50/1980) you must answer truthfully and completely all questions about your circumstances and, in particular, your health. Providing inaccurate or incomplete information may allow the insurer to reduce benefits, refuse a claim or cancel the policy. If in doubt, disclose.
8. No advice & suitability
We provide information, quotes and distribution services. We do not provide regulated financial, legal, immigration, tax or medical advice, and nothing on the website constitutes such advice. Any general guidance about plan features reflects the characteristics of the products we distribute, not a personal recommendation. Before you contract, you will be provided with the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) and the policy conditions so you can decide whether the product meets your needs.
9. Remuneration
We are remunerated by commission from the insurer, included in the premium you pay. You do not pay us a separate fee for our distribution services. On request, we will provide information about the nature and basis of the commission received in relation to your policy.
10. Cancellation & cooling-off
For distance contracts you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the later of the date you enter the contract or the date you receive the contractual documentation, during which you may withdraw without penalty (Law 22/2007). Thereafter, cancellation is governed by your policy conditions and applicable law.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, layout, design, graphics and code — is owned by Stephen Paul Gregory or used under licence. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial reference. Reproduction, redistribution, framing, scraping, or use of the content to train AI systems or to build a competing service is prohibited without our prior written consent.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false or fraudulent information, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, harvest content by automated means, or use the website in breach of Spanish or EU law.
13. Liability
We provide the website "as is" and do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information; always check the insurer's contractual documentation before contracting. As an exclusive agent acting solely on behalf of the insurer and never handling client money, liability arising from our distribution activity is covered by Sanitas S.A. de Seguros under Article 26 of Royal Decree-Law 3/2020. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Complaints
Complaints can be sent to hello@nlvhealthinsurancespain.com. If unresolved, you may escalate to the insurer's Customer Service and Ombudsman as set out in your policy, and to the Complaints Service of the DGSFP once the internal process is exhausted or two months have elapsed: dgsfp.mineco.gob.es.
15. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rule allowing you to bring proceedings where you live, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of Murcia, Spain.
16. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, products or our practices. The current version is the one on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown above.
